Today is Smokey the Bear's 65th birthday, and the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center helped celebrate it by inviting Smokey to its weekly Forest Explorer Program on Saturday at Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center pavilion.

For children 4 to 6 years old, the program explores the wonders of nature with a Forest Service naturalist every week.
