ANCHORAGE - Alaska Department of Fish and Game Commissioner Denby Lloyd is accused of driving under the influence.
Fifty-five-year-old Lloyd was arrested early Sunday in Juneau and taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. According to the police log, his car was impounded.
Gov. Sean Parnell's spokeswoman released a statement from Parnell saying he takes the matter very seriously. Parnell says if "the court system reveals guilt, swift and appropriate action will be taken."
Booking officer Zarak Malacas says Lloyd has been released from custody and is scheduled for a court appearance Monday. He says Lloyd is charged with DUI and reckless endangerment.
There is no phone listing for Lloyd in Alaska and he could not be reached for comment.
