Driving while intoxicated:
Shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, Caryn Craig, 43, was arrested on Lemon Creek Road for drunken driving, driving with a revoked license, and reckless endangerment of her passenger. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Her vehicle was impounded.
Thefts, lost/found items:
About 7 a.m. Wednesday, a man, 49, reported the Douglas Breeze-In had been burglarized. Someone squeezed through a tiny, boarded-up window to gain entrance. The burglary is under investigation by police.
About 1 p.m. Wednesday, police retrieved a charm found at Marine Park and turned into a city office. The item was placed into safekeeping.
About 2 p.m. Wednesday, a woman, 36, reported her vehicle was entered sometime during the night on James Boulevard. Thieves took a few dollars in change.
About 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 24, was arrested at the Marine Way parking garage for theft of services after failing to pay his cab fare. He was lodged at state prison.
About 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 36, reported the theft of his bicycle from Churchill Way about three weeks ago. The bike is a blue Mongoose MGX men's bicycle with dual suspension.
About 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman, 39, brought to the police department a watch she found at the downtown parking garage. It was placed into safekeeping.
About 5 p.m. Wednesday, a checkbook and wallet were turned into police. The items were placed in safekeeping.
About 8 a.m. Wednesday, police received a report of a truck that had rolled into and damaged a fence on Egan Drive outbound at Norway Point.
About 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, a woman, 44, reported a litter violation on Gastineau Avenue, and said a bear had been in her neighbor's garbage.
About 8 a.m. Wednesday, a citizen on Dixon Street reported a bear got into his garbage during the night.
About 1:30 a.m. today, police received a report of a bear in the vicinity of South Franklin Street.
About 2:30 a.m. today, police received a complaint of a bear getting into garbage on Eighth Street.
Fish and Game reported the person whose cracked corn bird feed had been eaten by bears has been identified. The man has installed alarms in his yard, and divided the corn among smaller containers.
About 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a man, 40, was arrested at a fast food restaurant on Seward Street on two outstanding police warrants. Both were for failure to appear. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
About 8 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 56, was contacted at a Mendenhall Valley residence and arrested on an outstanding Cordova Police Department warrant charging failure to appear after being charged with drunken driving. He was lodged at state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.
About 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, a man, 32, reported that his vehicle was rifled during the night at Cope Park. No damage occurred to the vehicle. No items were missing.
