Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Theft:

• Police cited a man, 42, on a larceny charge after responding to a reported shoplifting at 5:52 p.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway.

• A blue backpack was reported stolen at 9:48 a.m. Monday from an unlocked Ford Mustang in the Auke Village recreation center. The backpack reportedly held a digital camera, designer sunglasses and other items, bringing the value of the loss to $589.

Vandalism:

• A 2004 Toyota was reported scratched with a key at 12:54 p.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.

• At 10:17 a.m. Monday, vandalism was reported to the exterior of a building on Mendenhall Loop Road.

Vehicle accidents:

• A 1996 Chevrolet driven by a man, 29, reportedly struck a parked 1986 GMC truck at 12:36 p.m. Sunday on Industrial Boulevard. Damage was estimated at $1,500.

• A man, 35, reported at 11:48 a.m. Monday that his Chevrolet Blazer struck a Ford van driven by another man on West Willoughby Avenue. Damage to the Blazer was estimated at $2,000. Damage to the van was estimated at $1,000. No injuries were reported.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle driven by a man, 19, who was cited on a charge of driving without a license at 3:19 p.m. Sunday on outbound Egan Drive and Mendenhall Loop Road.
