The family of Kake resident Mona Jackson, who died Nov. 9, 2005, will hold a memorial party from noon to midnight on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall in Kake.

Jackson raised 11 children, plus those she and her husband adopted.
She taught school in Kake for 30 years and was an active member of the Alaska Native Sisterhood and Salvation Army Church.
All are welcome to the memorial celebration and invited to bring regalia.
