Ronald Dean Ely
Ronald Dean Ely, a resident of Hoonah and Whitestone Logging Camp, died July 31, 2000, in Hoonah. He was 34.
He was born April 27, 1966, in Polson, Mont. He attended Hoonah public schools and graduated from Hoonah High School. After graduation he began a career with Whitestone Logging, and was employed as a supervisor at the camp.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Shannon Ely, daughters Kayla L. and Kristie A. Ely, all of Whitestone Logging Camp near Hoonah, his parents William C. and Pamela A. Ely, brothers Richard L. and Robert J. Ely, uncles Craig and Dick Temanson and aunt Cindy Basler.
Services were held last week.
