Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while Intoxicated:

• Joshua Love, 19, was arrested at midnight Friday near Lemon Creek for drunken driving. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• Yvonne M. Dennis, 33, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Saturday near Glacier Highway for drunken driving, refusing a breath test and reckless endangerment. She was lodged at the state prison.


• At 8:40 a.m. Friday near Lemon Creek a vehicle was reported rifled during the night.

• At 11 a.m. Friday from Cinema Drive a mountain bike was reported stolen on Monday.

• At 3:15 p.m. Friday near Lemon Creek a Panasonic CD player and a Motorola radio were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle that morning.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• At 8 a.m. Friday from Glacier Highway a window was reported broken during the night.

• At noon Friday from South Franklin Street a Honda Civic was reported vandalized, causing $400 damage.

Animal encounters:

• At 11 a.m. Friday a bear was reported getting into garbage near Douglas Highway.

• At 6:20 p.m. Friday bears were reported eating garbage from a trash can in front of a building on South Franklin Street.

• Bears also were reported Friday at 9 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. near Calhoun Avenue, 11 a.m. near Douglas Highway, 11:45 p.m. near South Franklin Street, and 12:15 p.m. near Lemon Creek.


• At 2:45 p.m. Friday near Tongass Boulevard a boy, 17, was cited for driving a motorcycle without a license. He was released and the motorcycle was impounded.
