... for making hike, bike, run a success
The American Liver Foundation held its first Juneau Adventure Challenge on Saturday, July 24. It was indeed an adventure with all of the heavy rains. Our 3 1/2-mile hike, 16-mile bike and 10-mile run was a huge success and we would like to thank Pastor John Bigelow and his wife, Judy, for their support (and the great cookies); Dr. William Cole and his wife, Lynette; Scott May of the JDHS Track and Field; the SE Roadrunners and the Juneau Freewheelers for sign usage; the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, DOT, Princess Tours for the shuttle service (and keeping us warm), and to Costco, Safeway, Super Bear and Breeze In for providing water, juices and delicious bagels.

... for generous donations
On behalf of the Juneau Jumpers, we want to publicly thank Alaska Airlines, Taku Glacier Lodge, Wings of Alaska, TEMSCO Helicopters, and the White Pass and Yukon Railways for their generous donations of prizes for this year's raffle. Thanks to Bullwinkle's Pizza for contributing the raffle tickets. Thanks also to all the Juneau community members who bought raffle tickets in support of our team. This year's prizewinners are Alex Malter, Crystal Novotney, George Elgee and Lisa Rollin.
The 2004 Juneau Jumpers fund raising raffle was a huge success. Proceeds from the sale of over 3,000 tickets enabled team members to attend skills camps, compete at National Championships in Florida and for five of our most skilled jumpers, to compete at the World Championships in Australia. We are proud of our hard working team and very grateful for the support this community has given them.
