CONCORD, N.H. - The leaders of both the Republican and Democratic parties in New Hampshire are criticizing a Democratic candidate for state representative who reportedly posted a death wish for Sarah Palin on Facebook.
Republican state Rep. D.J. Bettencourt says Keith Halloran of Rindge was responding to his post about the plane crash that killed former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens when he wrote, "Just wish Sarah and Levy were on board," an apparent reference to Palin and her daughter's ex-boyfriend, Levi Johnston.
Halloran on Wednesday wouldn't confirm he wrote the message. In a comment to The Associated Press through Facebook he said, "It's just a tempest in their Tea Pot."
Both the GOP and Democratic Party chairmen have called on Halloran to apologize to the Palin family.
