Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Thomas Hughes, 22, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Mile 16 Glacier Highway for drunken driving, refusing a breath test and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

Police received a report at 7:39 a.m. Friday near Anka Street of damage to equipment valued at $2,000.

A woman reported at 6 p.m. Friday near Montgomery Street panels of her fence had been knocked out Thursday night.

Vehicle accidents:

A woman reported at 1 p.m. Friday near Glacier Highway that she struck a bear several miles inbound from Eagle Beach. The bear ran into the woods and the vehicle sustained an unknown amount of damage to the front end.

Hit and Run:

A woman reported at 1:56 p.m. Friday that $1,200 in damage had been done to her car in the past week.

Bears were reported at 10:46 p.m. Friday near Diane Street and Mitchell Way, 2:20 a.m. Sunday across from Delta Drive, 2:56 a.m. Sunday near Thunder Mountain Trailer Court, 8:53 a.m. Sunday near Craig Street and Abbey Way, 11:43 a.m. Sunday near Cedar Street, 11:48 a.m. Sunday near Wood Duck Avenue, 1:11 p.m. Sunday near Orca Point Apartments, 1:50 p.m. Sunday near Mendenhall Boulevard, 1:59 p.m. Sunday near Colombia Boulevard, 2:41 p.m. Sunday near El Camino Street, 5:18 p.m. Sunday near Pine Street, 8:16 p.m. Sunday near Kiowa Drive, 8:39 p.m. Sunday near Montgomery Street in Lemon Creek, 9:28 p.m. Sunday near El Camino Street, 11:42 p.m. Sunday near Kiowa Drive, 12:10 a.m. today near Glacier Highway, 12:14 a.m. today near Crowhill Drive in Douglas, and 1:13 a.m. today near Dixon Street.

A woman reported at 12:48 p.m. Sunday near Davis Avenue that a bear cub was in a tree in her yard. She said the cub came down once to eat her garbage but she scared it back up into the tree. Police advised her to allow the bear to come down from the tree so it could move along.

Other:

A man, 34, was cited at 1:35 p.m. Sunday near Churchill Way for not being compliant with sex offender registry regulations.

A man, 28, was arrested at 1:54 p.m. Sunday near Churchill Way on an outstanding $250 state troopers warrant.

A woman, 18, was arrested at 12:23 a.m. near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive on an outstanding $75 state trooper warrant.

Police arrested a man, 25, at 2:51 a.m. near Ferry Way and Marine View for carrying a concealed weapon and interfering after police were investigating a complaint about a person looking into vehicle windows. He was lodged at state prison.

The Coast Guard reported at 2:55 a.m. Sunday in Gastineau Channel that a Washington man, 58, was rescued when he went into diabetic shock on his boat in the channel. Coast Guard officials transported him to the Coast Guard dock in Juneau where an awaiting ambulance took him to Bartlett Regional Hospital. He was discharged this morning in good condition.
