Airport warns against unattended vehicles

JUNEAU - The Juneau International Airport issued a reminder that there is no parking, no waiting and no unattended vehicles in front of the terminal.

A driver must remain with the vehicle at all times. There is only active loading and unloading in the two lanes nearest to the curb.

Other lanes are for through-traffic only. Officers and traffic control will be strictly enforcing, ticketing and towing - if necessary. The airport encourages people to use the short-term lot or use the cell phone waiting lot when waiting for passengers.

Additionally, pedestrian crosswalks have been modified due to the construction. Signs direct pedestrians to the crosswalks and parking lots. Drivers are reminded that the speed limit is posted at 10 miles per hour and to watch for pedestrians and construction workers.
