Waring, O'Brien won't run for School Board

JUNEAU - Juneau School Board member Margo Waring announced Thursday that she will not seek re-election this fall.

Waring said in a statement that she had "deferred personal priorities to focus on for the next year or two, after which I anticipate running again."

Board member Sean O'Brien said he won't seek re-election either.

Member of the seven-person board serve three-year terms and elections are held every year.

Dick Monkman and Sally Saddler have indicated they are going to run for School Board.
