Food workers have one month to continue getting their Alaska food worker cards for free, according to a news release by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation.

ADEC will begin charging $10 for all new, renewed and replacement cards starting September 15. Payments can be made by check, money order or online credit card and bank fund transfers.

Food worker cards are valid for three years.
