Movies

"Planet of the Apes," (PG-13) shows nightly at 6:30 at Glacier Cinemas, with second shows at 9 p.m. and matinees at 1:40 and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"The Princess Diaries," (G) shows nightly at 6:40 at Glacier Cinemas, with second shows at 9:10 p.m. and matinees at 1:40 and 4:10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"American Outlaws," (PG-13) starts Friday and shows nightly at 6:50 at Glacier Cinemas, with second shows at 8:50 p.m. and matinees at 1:50 and 3:50 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"Jurassic Park 3," (PG-13) ends tonight, last shows at 7 and 9:20 p.m. at Glacier Cinemas.

"Osmosis Jones," (PG) shows tonight at 6:50 and 8:50 p.m. at Glacier Cinemas, moving downtown Friday and showing at 7 at the 20th Century Twin, with second shows at 9 p.m. and matinees at 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"The Score," (R) ends tonight, last shows at 6:50 and 9:20 p.m. at the 20th Century Twin.

"Vertigo," 8:30 tonight, 9 p.m. Saturday at the Back Room Cinema. Starting Tuesday is "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."

Theatre

Concerts

Organ concert, noon, Friday, at the State Office Building. Dorothy Allen will play a variety of music on the Kimball Theatre Organ.

Dog Days Music Festival, a fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation, 7 p.m. Saturday, Northern Light United Church. With desserts, coffee, tea, a silent pastry auction and performances by Michael Truax, Rainee Godwin, Buddy Tabor, River of Life, Don Drew, Leif Saya, J. Althea and Caribe. General admission $10; donations are welcome.

Auditions

Alaska Youth Choir auditions for boys and girls aged 8 to 16, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, at the Northern Light United Church. Parents should call 364-2403 to schedule an exact audition time.

Juneau Jazz Juniors, piano ensemble playing light jazz, boogie-woogie, ragtime and light rock, is interviewing for new members. Students in grades 5 through 8 with at least two years of piano lessons should call J. Althea at 586-4933 for an interview.

"Quilts of Alaska: A Textile Album of the Last Frontier" and "Looking Forward, Looking Back: An Alaska State Museum Centennial Exhibition," at the Alaska State Museum, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily.
