FAIRBANKS - A woman accused of calling 911 almost 100 times during a nonemergency has pleaded not guilty to second-degree harassment.
Fairbanks police Lt. Tara Tippett says 52-year-old Maura Aguilar Sharma made between 80 and 100 calls from a cell phone, distracting dispatchers for more than four hours Wednesday. The calls appeared to be about a property dispute.
Tippett says police warned Sharma to stop calling before finally arresting her.
Magistrate Alicemary Rasley set Sharma's bail at $100 and ordered her not to phone 911 unless there is an actual emergency.
