Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

A backpacker reported at 6:59 p.m. Thursday near the Mendenhall Campground that personal belongings were taken from a campsite.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A woman reported at Thursday near Stephen Richards Drive someone had run a key along the length of her car on the driver's side sometime between 4 and 4:30 p.m.

Police received a report at 7:21 p.m. Thursday near David Street of a broken window on the passenger side of the vehicle occurring sometime during the day.

Vehicle accidents:

Police responded to a two-car accident at 1:23 p.m. Thursday near Auke Bay harbor. A woman, 18, driving a Dodge pickup struck a parked Geo owned by a woman, 26, causing $2,000 in damage. The truck had no damage.

Bears were reported at 3:19 p.m. Thursday near Lemon Creek Manor, 5:26 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway, 5:47 p.m. Thursday near Lemon Creek Road, at 7:17 p.m. Thursday near Nugget Drive, 9:08 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek, 9:14 p.m. Thursday near Gladstone, 9:29 p.m. Thursday near Decker Highway, 9:48 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek, 10:02 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway, 10:31 p.m. Thursday near Calhoun Avenue, 10:32 p.m. Thursday near Stephen Richards, at 10:59 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway, 11:54 p.m. Thursday near Glacierwood, 12:32 a.m. today near Main Street and 6:38 a.m. today near Lund Street.

Other:

Police arrested a man, 31, at 9:26 p.m. Thursday near Pocket Park for disorderly conduct stemming from urinating in public and false report for not giving police his correct name. He was lodged at the state prison. Alcohol was not a factor.
