The Friends of the Juneau Public Libraries would like to thank local businesses for their support of the Summer Reading Program at the public libraries.
More than 2,000 entries were received for a weekly drawing of prizes from local business. Kids up to age 18 who borrowed items from the library this summer were eligible to enter the drawing.
The following businesses generously donated prizes: Amazing bookstore, Art Department, Alaska Fudge Co., Capital Records, Channel Bowl, Fred Meyers, Goldbelt Inc., Domino's Pizza, Foggy Mountain Shop, Gross Alaska Theatre, Juneau Trolley Car Co., Nugget Adventure Outfitter and Timberwolf Gifts.
More than 1,000 kids came to storytimes during the summer. The following business donated craft supplies for the storytimes: Good Hardware, Kenny's, Fred Meyers, Rainbow Foods and Superbear.

...for picnic help
This is to thank the businesses and individuals for their generous donations and help for the First Annual Fraternal Unity Picnic. The entire experience has confirmed our enthusiasm as members of one of these wonderful organizations.
