Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Aaron Overton, 22, was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at 12:28 a.m. Friday at Egan Drive and Mendenhall Loop Road. Another 22-year-old man from the incident was arrested on charges of interfering with an officer and resisting arrest. They were lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

• A Pioneer car stereo was reported stolen at 2:10 p.m. Thursday from a 1990 Mazda Protege near Thunder Mountain Road the previous night.

• A specialized mountain bike, valued at $500, was reported stolen at 5 p.m. Friday near Irwin Street.

Traffic accidents:

• At 12:47 p.m. Thursday, a 1989 Mercury driven by a man, 21, turned onto Mendenhall Loop Road from Mendenhall Mall Road and collided with a 1996 Lincoln driven by a man, 85. Damage to the Mercury was estimated at $2,500. Damage to the Lincoln was estimated at $1,500.

• At 11:30 a.m. Saturday on Egan Drive a 1999 Honda driven by a woman, 45, struck a 1994 Ford truck driven by a man, 18. The woman was cited for failure to yield when turning. The Honda had $10,000 damage. The truck had $6,000 damage.

Hit and run:

• A green Ford Explorer backed into a parked 1993 blue and white Ford Bronco near Seward Street and left the area at 1:20 p.m. Thursday. The Bronco's bumper was damaged. No cost estimate was available.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited two people for underage drinking near Ferry Way early Friday. A 17-year-old girl was cited at 2:13 a.m. A 20-year-old man was cited at 2:23 a.m. Both were released, the girl to a parent.

• A boy, 17, was cited at 11:30 p.m. Friday near Taku Boulevard for underage drinking. He was left with his parents.
