Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Marianne Jacobs, 40, was arrested about 1:30 this morning near Main and Front streets in downtown Juneau for drunken driving. She was additionally charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over 0.10 percent and reckless endangerment. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Delia Yeisley, 28, was arrested about 2 this morning near Tongass Avenue and Jennifer Street for drunken driving. She was additionally charged with resisting arrest, refusal to take a breathalyzer test, driving with a revoked license, failing to stop at the direction of an officer and assault on a police officer. She was lodged at state prison.

Thefts:

A man, 25, on Berners Avenue reported about 4 p.m. Thursday that a portable Sony Discman had been stolen from his vehicle the night before.

A man, 51, reported about 1 p.m. Thursday the theft of tools, valued at $17, from a shed on his property on Meadow Lane. He believes the theft occurred in the past week.

A woman, 52, reported about 6 p.m. Thursday that a handgun had been stolen form her home on Mendenhall Peninsula Rd.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A 51-year old man on Julep Street reported about 9 p.m. Thursday that the front tire on his vehicle was slashed during the night.

Fight:

Police responded about 7 p.m. Thursday to a report of a fight at a home in the Mendenhall Valley. Police arrested a 62-year-old man for domestic violence assault. He was transported to and lodged at state prison. Alcohol was involved.

Animal encounters:

A caller reported an adult-size black bear walking through a downtown neighborhood around 3rd and Harris streets about 10:30 p.m. Thursday. A few minutes later, they received another similar report of a bear near 5th and Seward streets. The bear was not aggressive.

Police received a call about 5:30 p.m. of an adult-size bear on Heron Way.

Alcohol-related calls: 5.

Domestic violence calls: 1.
