Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while Intoxicated:

• Patrick Dement, 48, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Saturday near Glacier Highway for drunken driving, driving without a license and three counts of reckless endangerment. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

• A man reported at 8:15 a.m. Friday from Bonnie Doon Drive the theft of a portable CD player from an unlocked vehicle.

• A woman reported at 1:30 p.m. Friday from mile 28 Glacier Highway that food had been stolen.

• At 3:15 p.m. Friday from Adair-Kennedy Field city staff reported the theft of two signs worth $100. Empty beer bottles were strewn on the field.

• At 5 p.m. Friday from Wee Burn Drive a man reported the theft of about 60 CDs from his locked pickup.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A man reported at 8 a.m. Friday from Gray Street that his Jeep stereo had been vandalized, causing $100 damage.

• A man reported at 8:30 a.m. Friday from South Franklin Street that his 2000 Dodge Dakota had been vandalized, causing $900 damage.

• A man reported at 9:30 a.m. Friday from Cedar Court that his 1979 Porsche had been rifled and the sunroof damaged.

• A man reported at 1:20 p.m. Friday from Bonnie Doon Drive that his vehicle had been rifled.

Underage drinking:

• A man, 19, was cited for underage drinking at 4:30 a.m. Saturday near Julep Street. He was released.

Vehicle accidents:

• At noon Friday near Stephen Richards Drive a Toyota driven by a woman, 27, was rear-ended by an SUV driven by an unknown man. The Toyota had $400 damage.

Animal encounters:

• At 11:30 p.m. Friday on Egan Drive near Sunny Point a bear was struck by two vehicles and killed. No person was injured.

• At 12:30 p.m. Friday from Glacier Avenue a woman reported that a bear had been eating garbage from a trash can.

• At 7:10 p.m. Friday from John Street a woman reported that a bear was getting into garbage.

• At 2:30 a.m. Saturday near Lemon Creek a man reported that he chased a sow and cub out of a trailer park.

• On Friday, bears were reported at 12:45 p.m. near Troy Avenue, 7:15 p.m. near David Street, and 10:30 p.m. near Dixon Street.

• On Saturday, bears were reported at 12:30 a.m. near Lemon Creek.

Other:

• At 2 p.m. near Teal Street a man, 72, was arrested on an outstanding police warrant charging violation of conditions of release. He was lodged at the state prison.
