FAIRBANKS - A shot through a wall during an attempt by an Alaska State Trooper to serve an arrest warrant at a home in North Pole has led to a search that included road blocks and a helicopter.
The trooper was not injured and called for backup but there were few details available.
Troopers set up a perimeter around the area shortly after the shot was fired around 2 p.m. Monday. They attempted to make contact with anyone who might have been in the house but a search found it empty.
Additional trooper units were patroling the area, and officers from the Fairbanks and the University of Alaska Fairbanks police departments were assisting.
