Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

• Police arrested a woman, 19, for domestic violence assault at 2:13 a.m. Sunday in the Mendenhall Valley area. Police believe alcohol was a factor in this incident. The woman was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• Police arrested a man at 4:06 p.m. Sunday near Pocket Park following a fight. He was charged with disorderly conduct and assaulting a police officer. Police believe alcohol was a factor in this incident. He was lodged at the state prison.

• Police arrested a boy, 14, during a domestic dispute at 6:45 p.m. Sunday in the Douglas area. He was remanded by juvenile probation and also was charged with sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was lodged at the Johnson Youth Center.

Thefts:

• A handicapped driver notice was reported stolen at 8:36 a.m. Saturday near Northwood Drive. The notice was stolen from a white Dodge Dynasty.

• An electric chainsaw was reported stolen at 1:20 p.m. Sunday near Skaters' Cabin Road. The chainsaw had been in the back of an unlocked vehicle.

• Two bags of newly purchased clothes were reported stolen at 6:04 p.m. Saturday near Glacier Highway. The clothes are valued at $60.

Burglary:

• A woman reported at 6:27 p.m. Sunday from Trafalgar Avenue that someone had kicked in a door to her home, broken the latch, put a hole in her wall and stolen a jewelry box.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A rock thrown through a window was reported at 8:42 a.m. Saturday near Glacier Avenue. The rock was thrown sometime Friday night and a damage estimate was unknown.

• A bathroom door damaged by a cutting tool was reported at 1 p.m. Saturday near Skaters' Cabin Road. Damage is estimated to be about $700.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported Saturday at 10:08 a.m. near Cordova Street, 11:04 a.m. near Dixon Street, 11:43 a.m. near Willoughby Avenue and Village Street, 5:19 p.m. near Dixon Street and 8:45 p.m. near Main Street.

• Bears were reported Sunday at 3:01 a.m. near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive, 7:11 a.m. near South Franklin Street, 2:14 p.m. near Egan Drive and Sunny Point, 8:51 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek, 11:03 p.m. near Hemlock Street and 11:49 p.m. near Second Street.

• Bears were reported today at 1:06 a.m. near Third Street in Douglas, 3:45 a.m. near Glacier Highway, 4:35 a.m. near Trinity Drive, 5:45 a.m. near Haloff Way and 6:59 a.m. near Thunder Mountain Road.
