FAIRBANKS - Bruno Bordonici of Fairbanks has received a 60-year term in federal prison after he was convicted of 96 felonies, mostly charging that he used a Fairbanks massage parlor as a front for prostitution and cocaine sales.

U.S. District Judge John Sedwick said Friday that he assigned the minimum sentence on all but one of the counts and called the prison time "more than adequate." Bordonici's court-appointed lawyer, Robert Noreen, said an appeal would be filed.

Bordonici, 62, the former owner of Oriental Massage Parlor and International Check Cashing, maintained his innocence. A jury found Bordonici guilty of 96 of the counts following a three-week trial in February.
