Iron workers Chad Morris, left, and Ian Miller, with Central Welding, tighten bolts as they construct one of the metal liners for the missile silos of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense Validation of Operational Concept test site Thursday afternoon at Fort Greeley. Work on the missile silos reached a milestone Thursday as the first corrugated metal liner was lowered into a concrete shaft just two months after ground was broken. The project is on schedule, according to the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
