JAHC announces season program

Juneau Arts & Humanities Council recently announced their 2010-2011 Performing Arts & Culture Concert Series, "From Our Roots We Soar."

SLIDE IN CONCERT. Celtic folk, Irish traditions, contemporary energy; Tuesday, Sept. 21 at the Juneau-Douglas High School Auditorium

CHIC GAMINE. French Canadian roots, urban folk, roguish rhythms; Friday, Oct. 1 at the Thunder Mountain High School Auditorium

TWILIGHT HOTEL HALLOWEEN DANCE. Vintage rock, modern folk, Halloween howling; Friday, Oct. 29 at Centennial Hall

BARROW ESKIMO DANCERS. Dances from the past, stories of long ago and today; Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Juneau-Douglas High School Auditorium

CALDER QUARTET. Classical chamber repertoire, world premiers, madcap modern; Tuesday, March 8 at the Thunder Mountain High School Auditorium

Tickets for all concerts are available at the JACC, Hearthside Books and online at www.jahc.org. Season Tickets are available at the JACC until Sept. 21. Season tickets are offered at a 10 percent discount. Members receive a 20 percent discount.
