My first acknowledgment of history and politics was feeling intense heat radiate out from the statehood bonfire set ablaze on the Park Strip here in Anchorage. I was 8 years old.
Over the years, I've paid attention to state and local politics and have become what some refer to as a "super voter." I've voted, seen, and met many candidates and politicians.
I feel this state is at a crossroads. We are running out of time and money. No longer can we "hope" those elected to Juneau will finally do what's needed and right. We need change. This is why the Legislature will be moving to Southcentral after the November elections. It's time for accountability - here! It's time for a change.
Gail Phillips (10 years), Loran Leman (14 years), and Robin Taylor (18 years) have had their chance to lead this state in the right direction.
The definition of insanity is doing something over and over, while expecting a different result. Phillips, Leman, and Taylor have been there over and over. These three (along with Fran Ulmer) are like a group walking across a field of fresh fallen snow and not leaving any footprints.
Vote Sarah Palin for lieutenant governor. Electing Frank Murkowski and Sarah Palin will make a dynamic fresh force for change.
