lock of pink flamingo lawn ornaments adorns the front yard of a Gee Street home Tuesday afternoon as part of a fund-raiser for the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. The Rainbow Girls are circulating four flocks of flamingoes that show up unannounced in various yards around town. Once they are placed, residents pay a $10 donation to have the birds moved to an address of their choice. The Rainbow Girls organization is a nonprofit service group for girls between the ages of 12 and 20. The money raised will go into a general fund to be used for a statewide grand assembly that will be hosted in Juneau next year.
