Thanks to authors

The Pioneer Book Committee, of the Pioneers of Alaska Igloo 6, having previously published two volumes of local pioneer histories, recently completed "Gastineau Channel Memories Volume III." There are 601 stories in the three volumes, and they span the years from 1880 to 1967.

The committee wishes to thank the many contributors to these volumes. Sometimes individually, sometimes through a family effort, volunteers have given their time to climb into attics, search old trunks, copy old photographs and finally, share their remembrances. Gathered together, these stories leave an incredible portrait of those who have made the Gastineau Channel area their home. We salute the authors!
