ANCHORAGE - The Anchorage Assembly voted Tuesday night to remove a requirement that a Brown Jug liquor store check the identifications of all customers.
The Anchorage Daily News reports the checks were a condition of a zoning permit for the store at Tikahnu Commons.
Other liquor stores in the city were supposed to voluntarily check IDs to avoid selling liquor to people with restricted driver's licenses. The voluntary agreement fell apart this summer.
