The Crimson Bears (2-0, 1-0 Railbelt Conference) remained ranked third following Saturday's 44-6 victory at Lathrop High School.
Service leapfrogged Cook Inlet Conference rival Chugiak for the top spot following the Cougars' 31-0 rout of West Anchorage.
The Mustangs, last week's top team, dropped a spot following a 7-6 win over East Anchorage.
The state's two top-ranked teams will square off at 7 p.m. Friday at Anchorage Football Stadium.

Dimond moved up from fifth to fourth in the poll after beating Bartlett 16-12. Meanwhile, Colony from the Railbelt Conference was ranked fifth after knocking off North Pole 20-7.
Only six teams remain undefeated in the large school division after two games. Unranked Wasilla improved to 2-0 with a win over West Valley.
In the small schools poll, Soldotna remained in the top spot after pounding Palmer 47-14.
Undefeated teams Kenai Central and Skyview were ranked second and third, respectively, for the second straight week.
Fourth-ranked Kodiak moved back up to the top five after beating Homer.
Eielson rounds out the top five.
