A story in Tuesday's Empire about a vehicle fire incorrectly said the Gastineau Humane Society boards cats.

Additionally, it should be clarified that the humane society will board dogs only if it has space, the dogs are current on all shots and vaccinations, and the dog does not pose a danger to any other dog or staff member.

The humane society also said it charges to board an animal, but if a person is destitute it will make arrangements. Additionally, the humane society staff are the only people who walk the animals, which they do twice a day.
