...for help with National Kids' Day
On Saturday, Aug. 4, the National Senior Service Corps's Foster Grandparent Program assisted the Boys and Girls Club of Juneau, the Zach Gordon Youth Center and the 4-H Club celebrate National Kids' Day. Thanks go to Jennifer Maki, Kay Moore, Elizabeth Williams, Sierra Angelo, Sara Sayre, Conchita Canon and Gleceria Lumba of the Boys and Girls Club; Claire Baldwin, Lou Taylor, Jim and Julia Douglas, Sarah Moore, Peter Kline and Toby Harbanuk from the 4-H Teen Club; Rand Bigelow, Christiana Nickle, Tim Carle and Pat Denny of the Zach Gordon Youth Center.
They collected 1,385 pounds of food for the Southeast Alaska Foodbank.
Thank you Alaskan and Proud Foodland, Superbear, Carrs, and thanks to all three kids' organizations that show Juneau kids really are great. And thanks to the National Senior Service Corps Foster Grandparent and RSVP programs. And, finally, thank you Juneau for being so generous.

We've reached the top! A big thank you to all who contributed to the Habitat for Humanity women's build matching donation drive.
The goal has been reached with $5,000 given within the Juneau area to add to the $10,000 grant.
Everyone is invited to the Alfred Votion house dedication at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at 4450 Kanat'a Deyi.
