Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• At 8:19 a.m. Thursday, a two-way radio, a mini-disc player and a camera were reported stolen from a backpack near South Franklin Street sometime that morning.


• At 2:29 p.m. Wednesday, a 1997 Ford Escort was reported struck by an unknown vehicle sometime the previous night at Northwood Drive in the Lemon Creek area. The owner estimated the damage at $1,700.


• A woman called police at 8:19 a.m. Thursday to report that eggs had been thrown at her vehicle near Franklin Street. She said the vehicle did not appear to be damaged.

Animal complaints:

• Bears were reported getting into trash Wednesday near Birch Lane at 5:53 p.m., Teal Street at 10:10 p.m. and Point Louisa Road at 11:57 p.m. A woman reported a bear in her fenced back yard at 5:16 p.m. Wednesday near Aspen Avenue. Other bears were reported Wednesday at 12:49 p.m. near Valley Boulevard, 6:50 p.m. near Cedar Drive and Columbia Boulevard and 7:11 p.m. near Cedar Court. Also Wednesday, three bears were observed on the Perseverance Trail.

• A bear was reported getting into trash at 4:29 a.m. Thursday on Old Lawson Creek Road in Douglas. At 9:42 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported that a bear was getting into garbage near Mark Alan Street in Lemon Creek. Also Thursday, a bear was reported at 8:17 a.m. near Birch Lane.
