Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
Grant Gast, 55, was arrested about 1 a.m. today near Hurlock Avenue and O'Day Drive for drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.10 percent. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Drugs:
Two juvenile males, no age given, were contacted during a traffic stop at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday on Industrial Boulevard. Police confiscated marijuana and a pipe. The boys were released to their parents.
Vehicle accidents:
A woman, 38, reported about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday her parked vehicle was struck at the Juneau Moose Lodge. The vehicle had $1,500 damage.
Animal encounters:
Police received reports Tuesday of bears at 2:30 p.m. on Long Run Drive, 6 p.m. on Long Run Drive, Northland Street, Lawson Creek Road and Creek Street, 8:20 p.m. on the hillside above South Franklin Street, 9 p.m. on Gee Street, 9:30 p.m. on Dixon Street, 9:45 p.m. on South Franklin, 10 p.m. on Dixon Street, and 10:30 p.m. at Fourth and Harris streets. Early Wednesday were reports of bears at 12:15 a.m. on Gastineau Avenue, 3 a.m. on Troy Avenue and 4:30 a.m. on Emily Way.
