Goldbelt Tours donates bus to Discovery Southeast
Goldbelt Tours donated a 23-passenger, $10,000 bus to Discovery Southeast, fulfilling the organization's long-term transportation needs, Director Larry West said.
Previously, Discovery Southeast had to rent transportation. The nonprofit organization provides hands-on education for Southeast Alaskans.
Sea Level Transport in Auke Bay transported the vehicle from Gustavus, where Goldbelt last used it. Western Auto offered to store the vehicle for free when it's not in use, West said. Discovery Southeast used the bus last week for its Outdoor Explorers Program.
