Question of morals

I was driving along the other day thinking about the current debate regarding intelligent design and evolution. That thought led to other questions relative to morality, religion and modern society.

Is it moral to subsidize a society's recreation, say at a ski resort, ice skating rink and swimming pools with sales tax on food, electricity, heating oil and other basic necessities?

Should the least fortunate among us pay a dollar a month to make sure that Eaglecrest Ski Area is open for those that can afford to ski? Should the least fortunate among us pay $100 capital cost and $10 a year to build and operate the proposed Dimond Water Park?
