Juneau resident Christine Marie Felipe died peacefully Aug. 21, 2007, at home. She was 41.

She was born Feb. 18, 1966, at the old St. Ann's Hospital. She attended various schools: Harborview Elementary School, Marie Drake Middle School, Juneau-Douglas High School and Mount Edgecumbe High School. Then she went on to attend San Diego City College. She worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Fish and Game and the Forest Service.
She loved to go hiking, camping and fishing. She just loved to travel and hang out with family and friends, said her family. She was a fun-loving person who touched the hearts of everyone who met her, they said. She will be greatly missed by her family and her longtime boyfriend, Ole, and her baby cat, Marcie.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter E. and Sophie Johnson; aunt, Matilda and Herbert Mercer; uncles, Ronald James and his wife, Violet, Raymond Johnson, and Richard Willard Sr.; sisters, Jackie and Cheryl Felipe; and cousins, Michael Richardson and Gilbert Johnson.
She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Felipe and her husband, Phillip; father, Knute Felipe and his wife, Joan; boyfriend of eight years, Keith "Ole" Olsen; sisters, Janette Williams and her husband, Jeff, and their daughter, Alexis, Melissa Catenada and her husband, Jose, and their children, Calaudio, George, Cecelia, Ana Alicia and Alnadalia; brothers, Knute Felipe Jr., and his son, Knute Felipe III, and Brian Felipe and his daughter, Mariana; aunts and uncles, Evelyn and "Buster" Richardson, Thelma and Gerald Charles, of Anchorage, Angie and Patrick Johnson, Mary Olson, of Idaho, Marie Reyes, of Washington, Clifford and Debbie Jo Johnson, and Franklin and Anita Johnson; cousins, Colleen Mercer, Roberta Richardson, Levada and Michael Johnson, Jennifer and James Johnson, Sharon and her husband Tim Love, Richard Jr., and Dorothy, Wendy, Penny, Gilbert and Ricardo Willard.
Memorial and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of God, 8497 Thunder Mountain Road. Services will be officiated by Pastor Green.
