Juneau resident Jaimie Lea Dennis died Aug. 15, 2009, in Juneau. She was 22.
Born Jan. 24, 1987, in Juneau, she graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 2005. She was a model and mother who held miscellaneous jobs.
She loved and lived life to the fullest, her family said.
"Jaimie's big smile, laughter and sense of humor would cheer anyone," they wrote. "Her biggest and proudest accomplishment was her daughter, Kayley. Kayley was her life and her world."
She also loved camping, fishing, hiking, snowboarding, cooking and spending time with her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Taylor and Timothy Dennis; sister, Jessica Dennis; paternal grandfather, Roy H. Dennis Sr.; and maternal grandfather, Ken Marlow.
She is survived by her daughter, Kayley Rose Burkhart; parents, Art and Beth Dennis; sister, Jennifer Dennis; nephews, Kayden Dennis and Jason Gordon Jr.; great-grandmother, Olive Landon; grandmothers, Josephine Zeller and Barbara Lofstrom; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, too numerous to list but not forgotten.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Glacier Valley Church of God, 8497 Thunder Mountain Road, with the burial following after.
Pallbearers are Emmett Marlow, Roy Dennis Jr., Jerome Dennis Sr., Randy Dennis Sr., Jim Zeller, Josh Zeller, Joshua Wilkins and John Hernandez.
Honorary pallbearers are Randy Dennis Jr., Dennis Brown, Wayne Chulik, Kevin Marlow and Bill Reyes.
A memorial fund in her name was established at Alaska Pacific Bank. Contributions can be made at any Alaska Pacific Bank location.
