ANCHORAGE - A federal grand jury has indicted a man accused of robbing an Anchorage credit union after presenting his account number and picture ID.
U.S. Attorney Karen Loeffler said Thursday the indictment charges 34-year-old Jarell Paul Arnold with one count of bank robbery.
Arnold has been in jail since Aug. 10, three days after an Alaska USA Credit Union branch was robbed of $600.
The FBI said Arnold entered the branch and inquired about his account. The teller asked for his name, account number and ID. Authorities said he complied, and then handed the teller a note that said he had a gun and wanted money.
