Juneau resident Martha Christine Lokke Perkins, 87, died on Aug. 21, 2003, at the Juneau Pioneers' Home.
She was born on July 13, 1916, in Sitka to Chris Carl and Mae Lokke. Family members said she was a homemaker who was known for her beautiful embroidery and bead work, and for playing the guitar and organ. While at the Pioneers' Home, she played the electric organ daily for the enjoyment of her friends as well as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Perkins; brothers Mike, Howard, Sonny, Carl and Jack Lokke; sister Alice Wright; and sister-in-law, Ruth Lokke.
She is survived by her sister Molly (Alex) Weise of Snohomish, Wash.; nephew, Bill Meeker of Snohomish; and nieces Ana Baker of Anacortes, Wash., Christine Clingenpeel of California, Edith Young of Detroit, Mich., and Agnes Johnson of Sitka.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Alaskan Mortuary Chapel in Juneau.
