Why, instead of polluting the Mendenhall Valley with the senseless burning to clear for the new school, wasn't the wood offered to the public to cut up for firewood?
The price of oil is sky high, plus AEL& P is requesting a rate increase.
Is this community so short-sighted, that it couldn't help out it's own citizens, who have wood stoves for heat or back up systems?
This was an appalling waste.
There was no need for that much smoke in the valley had this been handled with common sense.
