TRAPPER CREEK - Alaska State Troopers have arrested a 48-year-old pickup driver suspected of seriously injuring a pedestrian at the Trapper Creek Bluegrass Festival and then driving off.

Rodney Humphrey was charged with felony assault, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scence of an accident, driving without a license and resisting arrest.

Troopers took a call Saturday night of a hit and run at the festival and started looking for a black Ranger pickup with oversized tires.

They found the truck at a rural home and said the driver, Humphrey was passed out. They say he resisted as they tried to arrest him.

The injured pedestrian, Aaron Dorfman, a Texas resident, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Troopers say the injuries were not life-threatening.
