Thank you Juneau Empire for publishing Friday's article "Former JSD Student Advises District Teachers." It was really refreshing to read something positive about a former JSD student.
It sounds like the young woman is a prime example of someone who, as a teenager, did not have the benefits of an ideal parent/teen relationship and at a very young age had to start making very adult decisions. It is young women in situations like this who will be most affected by Ballot Measure 2.
These young women must be able to safely and privately make their own choices about their reproductive health and we need to insure doctors care for them without fear of imprisonment. On Tuesday, please remember turn your ballot over and vote No on 2.
