The race for the District 2 assembly seat is down to three candidates.
Candidate Mary Anderson announced Monday that she is withdrawing from the race.
"After mindful reflection and discussion with supporters, I have decided to withdraw my candidacy for the District 2 Assembly seat," Anderson wrote in an e-mail. "I initially decided to run when no other candidates for the seat were forthcoming. We now have three candidates for the seat so I will keep my seat on the CBJ Americans with Disabilities Committee."
Anderson said her commitment to Juneau's balanced growth remains, and she doesn't rule out running in the future.
"I wish all the candidates well and hope others Juneau citizens will consider how they might serve our city," Anderson stated.
