Quilt to be raffled for Helping Hands fund-raiser

Rhoda Walker has donated a wall-hanging quilt with a fruits and vegetables theme in an original design for a Helping Hands fund-raiser.

The 32-by-37-inch quilt, which is all hand-embroidery, appliqué, and hand-quilting, is for the annual Helping Hands dinner and auction. The event will be held at the Church of Christ on Aug. 28, with dinner starting at 5 p.m. and the auction at 6 p.m. The quilt will be raffled off that evening. You don't have to be present to win.

For tickets on the dinner or quilt, or if you have anything to donate for the auction, call Cliff Doherty at 789-3668, Betty Kaplor at 789-4390, or Brenda Flansaas at 790-2635.
