Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

* A 41-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence at 7 p.m. Friday in Harris Harbor. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

* A 40-year-old woman was arrested for assault at 3 a.m. on Nowell Avenue and taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

* A CD player and CDs were stolen from a locked vehicle while it was parked at Cedar Court sometime before 8:30 a.m. Friday. The vehicle was also damaged.

* A 16-year-old girl was arrested for stealing merchandise valued at $7.80 from Juneau Drug at 12:30 p.m. Friday. She was released to her mother at the scene.

* A 21-speed men's bike worth $200 and a can containing $30 worth of Indian head nickels were stolen from Portage Boulevard sometime before 8 p.m. Friday.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

* An unlocked vehicle was rifled through sometime before 6:15 p.m. Friday on Seventh Street in Juneau.

* A 25-year-old man was cited for disturbing the peace at 1 a.m. Saturday downtown.

Underage drinking:

* A 19-year-old man was arrested for underage drinking at 12 a.m. Saturday at the Ferry Terminal. He was taken home and released to an adult.

Animal encounters:

* A bear was reported getting into garbage and passing through a yard where children were playing at 7 a.m. Friday on Mendenhall Loop Road. The call was forwarded to Fish and Game.

* A bear was reported walking along Bresee Street at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

* A bear cub was reported treed by dogs at 12:30 p.m. Friday on Lemon Creek Road. Officers assisted in getting the dogs put away and keeping children from the bear.

* A bear was reported at 3:30 p.m. Friday on Lemon Creek Road.

* A bear was reported in a back yard at 6:15 a.m. Friday on Pine Street. The call was forwarded to Fish and Game.

* A caller reported a bear wandering in her yard at 6:45 p.m. Friday on Lemon Street.

* A caller reported that children were throwing things at a bear on Lemon Creek Road at 7 p.m. Friday. An officer responded, but did not see any children in the area.

* A bear was reported getting into garbage at 9:45 p.m. Friday on Douglas Highway. The caller was referred to Fish and Game.

* A bear was reported getting into a metal trash bin at 10 p.m. Friday on Douglas Highway. The caller was referred to Fish and Game and the litter officer.

* A bear was reported in a yard on Glacier Highway, where it had turned over a commercial metal trash bin at 10:30 p.m. Friday on Glacier Highway.

* A bear was reported in a parking lot on James Boulevard at 11 p.m. Friday. The caller was referred to Fish and Game.

Other:

* A 24-year-old woman was arrested for driving with a revoked or suspended license in the Fred Meyer parking lot at 8 a.m. Friday. Her vehicle was impounded.
