Sighting a 'spirit' bear
The Empire and Mr. Costello might like to know that the "Spirit Bear" story made it here to France. On opening the Free.fr Internet home page a few minutes ago I came across an AP article on the event, and as someone who is as Alaskan in his heart as it's possible to be without actually living there, I checked out the story on Mr. Costello's Web site.
I sincerely hope the public interest across the state and throughout America will deter some trigger-happy person from thinking he's a he-man just because he can shoot straight with a scope-equipped rifle.
