Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Thefts:
A black backpack was reported stolen at 1:04 p.m. Sunday near Front Street. The backpack contained a jacket, two pairs of sunglasses and a cellular telephone. The total loss was estimated at $500.
A black, leather day planner was reported stolen at 7:38 p.m. Sunday near South Franklin Street. The planner contained identification, miscellaneous paperwork and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Theft from a vehicle was reported at 6:49 a.m. Monday near Marine Way. A black, plastic toolbox was taken from the vehicle. It contained a ratchet, socket wrenches and screwdrivers. A black, 12-inch subwoofer also was taken.
Domestic violence:
Police arrested an 18-year-old woman on a charge of domestic violence assault at 7:05 p.m. Sunday near Douglas Highway. Alcohol allegedly was involved.
A 32-year-old-man was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and domestic violence criminal mischief. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol allegedly was involved.
Vandalism:
Someone was seen throwing a rock through a vehicle window at 4:20 a.m. Monday on Shaune Drive in the Lemon Creek area.
A man reported his vehicle had been vandalized at 7:36 a.m. Monday near Hayes Way. No damage estimate was available.
Found property:
A 21-speed bicycle was turned in to Juneau police at 11:30 a.m. Monday. It was reportedly found near North Douglas Highway.
Animal complaints:
A bear was reported at 9:16 p.m. Sunday near Douglas Highway.
