ANCHORAGE - They didn't turn out in droves but in trickles.
About a quarter of the state's registered voters cast ballots in Tuesday's primary elections, according to estimates by the state Division of Elections.
That's about the same as the turnout for Alaska's 2002 primary.
With 426 of 439 precincts reporting Wednesday, about 24 percent of the state's registered voters participated in the primary, according to unofficial results from the state Division of Elections.
