FAIRBANKS - Alaska State Troopers say the body of a man has been found in the Tanana River.
Troopers say the body was found by recreational boaters west of Fairbanks Sunday evening.
Troopers retrieved the body, which is being sent to the state medical examiner for identification.
Sgt. Rick Roberts says troopers had difficulty telling how long the man, who was Caucasian, had been in the water.
According to troopers, there were no apparent signs of foul play.
